WE Privacy Policy.

WE is a social platform built for groups. This Privacy Policy explains how WE Network LLC collects, uses, stores, and protects information when users access WE and related services.

Information We Collect

  • Account information, such as email address and sign-in information.
  • Profile and group information users choose to provide, including a user-entered city and state; this US launch assigns United States as the country.
  • User-generated content, including photos, videos, captions, posts, comments, Stories, Moments, Flash, Pulse, WE Cards, and group content.
  • Group messages and media submitted through Chat.
  • Interactions such as likes, saves, follows, reactions, votes, views, notification reads, and membership or governance activity.
  • Notification delivery information, including an app-scoped installation identifier, APNs token, platform, and app version.
  • Reports, moderation requests, account deletion requests, and support requests.

How Information Is Collected

WE collects information directly when users create an account, complete a profile or group, select media, create content, communicate, interact with features, submit a report, or request support or deletion. Authentication, Storage, Realtime, and notification services also generate the minimum technical records needed to operate those features.

WE does not access device contacts or precise GPS location. Location shown in WE is based on a city and state entered by the user.

How We Use Information

  • To provide app functionality and operate WE features.
  • To support group profiles, communication, and content sharing.
  • To maintain reliability, security, and the user experience.
  • To detect abuse, enforce guidelines, support moderation, and protect safety.
  • To respond to support, reporting, privacy, and deletion requests.
  • To protect security and comply with legal obligations.

Content Visibility

Content submitted to Feed, Discover, Rankings, WE Cards, and Pulse may be visible to other authenticated WE users according to the feature's existing audience rules. Pulse is an app-wide authenticated surface.

Chat, Moments, Flash, membership and governance activity, and private group media are limited to eligible members of the applicable group. Users should avoid sharing sensitive information in any content they choose to post or send.

Service Providers

WE uses service providers to operate the app and website. These include Supabase for authentication, database, Storage, Realtime, and server functions; Apple for iOS services and push notifications; and website hosting or content-delivery providers.

WE does not sell personal information. WE requires service providers that receive personal information to provide the same or equivalent protection described in this Policy and required by applicable law.

Security

WE uses access controls, authenticated requests, encrypted network connections, private Storage rules, and service-provider safeguards appropriate to the service. No security measure can guarantee absolute protection, and users should protect their credentials and devices.

Retention and Deletion

WE retains information for as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain platform security, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and enforce its agreements. Content may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion.

Users can delete their account in the WE app at Settings > Account & Safety > Delete Account, or submit a deletion request through WE's account deletion page.

Children's Privacy

WE is not intended for children under the age of 13. WE does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If WE learns that a child under 13 has provided personal information, WE will take steps to remove that information.

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on their location, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, object to processing, withdraw consent where applicable, or request portability of their information. Requests may be submitted to support@joinweapp.com.

Changes to This Policy

WE may update this Policy as the service or legal requirements change. The effective date on this page will be updated when a revised Policy is published. Material changes will be communicated when appropriate.
